A sweet spot has been discovered in the surfing capital of the North. Just as the sea is endless, so is this shop "where desserts never end". Spotted along the highway of Urbiztondo, San Jan, La Union is Sugar Artisan.
"The ablaze passion and dedication of the people behind Sugar Artisan best describes them in terms of the craft that they do in order to make every event memorable and to make every person in the event happy, in this regard, we named the business Sugar Artisan which pertains to someone who is excellent in doing sugar craft." Says Mr. Lee Jordan C. Acosta, owner/manager as well as Sugar Artisan's very own Cake Artist.
Its expertise in doing sugar crafts provides a vibrant and eye-catching centerpiece for every celebration – cakes! They pride themselves in making fondant cakes and use every bit of creativity to make customized cupcakes and cakes that standouts in every occasion.
A coffee shop built with glass walls and all white interior creating a timeless and minimalist ensemble. It's a haven for a sweet tooth. Every day is a sweet surprise as they serve different sets of international dessert buffet. Starting with pops of truffles, a bite of red velvet cupcake, then a slice of chocolate cake with not just cherries on top and two slices of their tiramisu. A variety of jellies, mini cupcakes, chocolates, pannacotta and other sweet treats are being served on the table. Sweet, sweet indulgence.

Choices of beverages are available in the shop, with the Iced Coffee as their best seller. Aside from the sweet treats, filling snacks are also available on their menu. There is selection of their homemade pasta recipes, sandwiches, pizza and quesadillas. These are served to satisfy all other taste buds, too.
With the collaborative efforts and contributions of the entire family, the dream of putting up a coffee shop has been made possible. Passion and dedication put everything in place, crafting delights and serving surprises to their guests for a year now.
Sugar artisan started as a home based cake maker. Their recipes were derived from cookbooks of high caliber pattisiers in the industry and went through series of experiment and modification to establish a personal brand that will give delight to its valued clients. Soon enough, the dream coffee shop was laid into a blueprint and plans were studied through a feasibility conducted by the owner himself.
